     We are a family owned and operated, Adult Family Care Home, for 5 residents. Adult Family Care Homes provide a more personable family atmosphere for residents with more one on one care.      All of our family members have been trained in the fundamentals of care giving, CPR and First Aid. We have three licensed CNA' s with two of them being Med-techs as well. A visiting nurse comes in weekly to provide health monitoring.      We encourage our residents to be as independent as physically possible, but we are always available when they feel they need extra help. We strive to provide our residents with the highest quality care available while also providing a comfortable, secure, family atmosphere.      We prepare home cooked meals using vegetables from our on-site hydroponic garden. We have dinner family style at the kitchen table. Meals and snacks are planned to cater to the likes and dislikes of our residents. The dinner table is a great place to recap the day's events and discuss the plans for tomorrow.      Our family lives at the home and we are readily available for anything needed from companionship, to help in the shower or encouragement to participate in daily life activities. We are always available to provide quality care for any of the residents who need help with personal care. We provide transportation to doctor visits, shopping trips or just daily outings.      For days around the house there is fully stocked game room. For the creative our activity room is loaded with art supplies from sewing to painting and everything in between. There is a house computer (Wi-Fi included) for the technology savvy. For those who just want to kick back and relax there is a 42" TV with expanded cable over the fireplace in the living room for their  viewing enjoyment. For those who are looking for some competition there is a Wii console, with too many games to mention available in the living room as well. There is always something to do and look forward to at Alanson Acres.      We participate in an Art for Wellness program by sponsoring a monthly free to seniors " Art day on Alanson" . Seniors are invited to come for lunch and participate in the Art project chosen for that month. Participation in the creative process can improve moods, support  fine and gross motor skills and enhance dexterity it also promotes mental stimulation, social interaction and individuality. All of our family members have been trained in the fundamentals of care giving, CPR and First Aid. We encourage our residents to be as independent as physically possible. When needed we provide around the clock support and assistance, We want to provide our residents with the highest quality of life possible; including comfort and a secure atmosphere.
We prepare home cooked meals using the freshest ingredients available. Meals and snacks are planned to cater to the individual likes and dislikes of the residents.
Our family lives at the home and we provide service 24 hours a day, 7days a week. We are always ready to provide quality care for the residents personal needs.
We have a fully stocked game room and an art room for mental stimulation and social interaction. and have just added a hydroponic garden system and raised beds for those who like to putter. We have scheduled activities both onsite and offsite to promote socialization and to build friendships.
